Last Saturday our boys took on the "Bear Cats" of Battle Creek Central's Team #3 here at our home field. The Coaches and players tried their best but ended up with a final score of ( 0 - 24 ). Even though the team lost against Battle Creek Central the players played a good game and earned a lot of character playing in the cold and wet weather.

The first game of the season Coach Tinkler's Gold Team welcomed the Bearcats of Battle Creek Central (BCC) to Hastings. Battle Creek Central is new to our league this year and the team found out that BCC is definately a team to look out for in the future. Coach Tinkler and his coaching staff did a great job of changing up the plays to keep our opponent guessing what was coming each play and the players played well for the season opener. Great job to all of the players for their 34 - 24 victory this week.
Note to the players: Come prepared for practice on Monday. It's important that every player shows up to each practice and is ready to play. The practice schedule changes starting Monday. We will only have practice on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. We lose Wednesday and the time practice ends has been reduced by 30 minutes since school has begun.
Our next game is
AWAY on Saturday September 19, 2009 against Lakeview1. Game time is 9:00am, please have your son to the field an hour before the game time for the required team warm-up practice and weigh-in. Click
